I received a phone call
from Tim apparently I had been Recomended by Martyn Oates,
Tim had seen an outside Fireplace in France, and asked me if could I build one, I replied of course we can no problem!
The steps up to the right of way
The Bistro set by the fireplace
Fireplace side and right way
Fireplace back and right way of to the veg garden and re-sited greenhouse
Dr Tim Padley's Fireplace
How difficult could it be?
And I love a challenge. I asked Timto supply a photo of how he wanted it to look, well to cut a long story short this is it!
Based upon the Fire Place
I also got the landscaping work as well,
It was all a little strange, as a young lad that I had working with me, had come down on Sunday evening a week previously, to tell me he was starting a new job the next day. You can imagine that I was none too pleased, he had been with me over a year and I thought we got on well. Well it turned out that Martyn Oates the person that had reccomended me, it was his neighbour, also a landscaper, who had lured Paul away. So I was well chuffed that I got the job
Tim had had Val Uglow design the Garden and she was pretty good at it. Here are some of the results. Its a shame that I didn't take some before pictures, because this was a jungle, completely ruled by a bay tree that had been left to it's own devices. As we hacked our way though this jungle we found s good sized greenhouse still intact with a huge grapevine growing through it. We dismatled it and rebuilt it in Tim' and Niki's vegetable plot.
A word of advice
If you don't have a huge garden keep the bay tree in a planter.
